The Walk by Shaun Alexander Review

Are you walking with God, dragging your feet, or running ahead of Him? Take the first step in living at God's pace. Let Shaun Alexander help you get started on the greatest adventure possible. If you are ready to know God as your Walking Companion, you are ready to begin The Walk.

In The Walk, Shaun Alexander discusses the importance of order in becoming a mature Christian. There are five stages that he says each person can "walk" through: Unbeliever, Believer, Example, Teacher, and Imparter. I really like the way he lays out these stages by chapter not just with facts from the Bible, but also by telling little stories from his own personal experiences in life's journey.  He breaks each stage down  and expands on the trials, traps, and victories of each stage. As you "walk" through this book, Shaun gives examples not only from his football days, but also real life situations he has faced that many people can relate to.  I have to confess to start out I was a little intimidated reading this book with the football references, I have no idea what he was talking about when referring to football plays - however I was able to get the jest of what he wanted to get across.  I would say a person that has some football knowledge may enjoy this a little more than I did.  But on the overall I did enjoy reading this book and it gave me alot to think about regarding my "Walk" with God.
