It's time to get Organized with an Academic Planner

It's that time of year again when you really need to be ready for all of the upcoming events and activities. If you're like me and probably hundreds of other people out there you need something to help you stay organized in this overly busy world. I know if I don't write something down there's a good chance a day later it will have been filed away in my brain and forgotten. And with two kids in school and after school activities my days are only getting busier. Using an academic planner is a great tool not just for those in school, but also for those of us at home that have kids in school. I've found it helps me to keep their activities organized through out the year. The two featured in this post are really nice options because they are spiral bound making them super easy to work with. Plus you have the choice of a letter size planner (8-1/2" x 11") or a personal size planner (8-1/4" x 8-1/2"). This is nice because if you have more than one child you can use the larger planner to have more space. There's even a handy PageMarker and Letter Size Subject Labels you can order to help you keep even more organized. Now that's what I'm talking about, I'm all about organization!

Inside the planners you'll find a month at a glance as well as a notes page for each month of the academic year. Then following that are two page spreads that each feature one week at a time for the corresponding month. This is great because we can lay out the month ahead on one page, then fill it in on the individual days on the weekly pages. There I like to give a little more detail to the activities of the day as well as list out what I am planning for dinner based on our evening activities. It's great being able to have it all in one convenient place. Then I just leave the planner sitting out on the kitchen counter where everyone can see what's going on and add to it if they need to as new events arise.
