One Press Seal & Easy Open Tabs - It's the Ziploc® way!

Don't tell anyone but I am about to confess to you one of my secret addictions. Okay, so maybe it's not that big of a secret. And if you are already reading this post you've probably already figured out it has something to do with Ziploc®. So I might as well just let the cat out of the bag and tell you. I'm a Ziploc® container addict. You may be sitting there wondering what I mean, or thinking that it's not that big a deal to like Ziploc® containers. Well, if you saw the inside of my kitchen cabinets I think you would understand. I have Ziploc® containers that even Ziploc® themselves probably don't have laying around their own office anymore. I honestly couldn't even tell you how old some of the containers are. I have so many different colored lids from collecting over the years I could almost make a rainbow.

However after seeing how awesome the One Press Seal containers work I may give in and retire some of my old containers. HANG ON!! No I am not saying I'll be getting rid of my beloved containers. I just said retire them, in other words not use them in the kitchen cabinet anymore for food. Phew glad we got that straightened out. I would never toss out a Ziploc® container that wasn't beyond hope for something useful. See told you I had a slight addiction. I'm an organizer by nature so using slightly cracked containers outside of the kitchen to organize things like craft supplies comes second nature to me. Anyhow back to these awesome containers. If you've ever struggled trying to snap on the lid of a plastic container (I mean honestly who hasn't?) then you'll love these containers too. Just one press right in the middle of the container (the spot is even marked for you) and that's it, it's closed. Couldn't be any easier than that. And many of the containers they have now are nestable. That means you can use a larger container to make your salad and then use two of the little ones for your dressing and croutons (placed at one end of the larger container) and still only have one container to pack in your lunch bag. I love this because my husband has to take his lunch everyday to work and it makes it so much more convenient for me to prepare it the night before and not have to worry he will forget his dressing cup in the morning. This handy feature also helps with those of us with a shortage of cabinet space too. I love containers that nest inside of each other for easy stacking.

And on the flip side, when it comes to disposable storage you'll find several different boxes of Ziploc® storage bags in my cabinet too. Yep there goes that organizer in me, I have to have one box of each size of bag because you never know what you might need a bag for. Oh and of course I have to have one of each size in the freezer version too. You laugh now, but I've never met a request for a storage bag I couldn't fulfill in my house. Their innovative design with the Easy Open Tabs actually made Ziploc® my brand of choice. I don't know how many times before I would be frustrated because I couldn't get the top open to get inside of the bag. With their easy open tabs one side is actually a little taller (reminds me of a file folder tab) making it super easy to grasp one side while pulling the other side open. The other thing I really like about Ziploc® storage bags is that they are color coded: Blue for freezer bags, red for storage bags, and green for snack and sandwich size bags (I like to think of these as lunch bags). This is really helpful when looking into my cabinet at the ends of the boxes to see which one I need to get out.
