My night as a Cheddar's VIP!

Over the last few weeks as I was doing my errands I passed the sign above several times. And I kept thinking to myself I was going to have to check them out once they opened. I had heard from some people that had been to one in another town that the food there was so good and that everything is actually made from scratch! Well thanks to some really awesome people I got in touch with I was actually able to check it out before it opened to the public as a VIP! I have to say I was pretty excited when I found out, and even more excited when my personal invite arrived in the mail. I called up my best friend and asked her to join me since my husband was doing daddy/daughter date night already with our daughter. And with that I had a girl's night out planned at Cheddar's!

Upon our arrival at Cheddar's we were greeted like royalty as we approached the building. They opened the doors for us and everyone we encountered greeted us with a "Welcome to Cheddar's". It was very impressive and man did I feel like that VIP now. Just inside the doors the first thing I noticed was a huge fish tank on one wall. Right off I knew this would something my daughter would love to see so of course I snapped a photo to show her. And as you can imagine now she's begging me to take her to see it.

We were immediately taken to our table and greeted by our waitress in no time. It was all very impressive how quickly they got everyone in and to a table. All of the staff we encountered were all super friendly too. The waitress took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer upon her suggestion of the chips and queso and how good she thought it was. It may not seem like much in the photo (and to be honest I know we both ate at least a few chips before I remembered to snap a photo), but oh my I almost filled up myself eating the chips and queso it was so good.

After we ordered our appetizer and drinks we both took some time to browse over their menu. It had all sorts of different dishes on it from beef, to fish, to chicken. I'm a big fan of anything chicken so I was pretty excited when I saw that they had a lemon-pepper chicken on the menu. It came on a bed of rice with two sides. I opted for their mashed potatoes and broccoli and cheese casserole. My best friend that came with me ordered the steak and ribs meal and for her two sides also got the casserole, but she got a baked potato instead of the mashed. I have to say I was super impressed by not only the presentation of our food, but also that it was still nice and warm when it arrived to our table. Our waitress actually kept us in the loop letting us know when our food was next up from the kitchen even. It was a fantastic meal and we both ended up taking probably half of it home with us. I ate mine headed up for lunch the next day and it was almost as good as the first time I ate it.

While at Cheddar's I did some sharing on my social media accounts and of course on my personal Facebook page so everyone I knew could check out a little glimpse before they opened. And I am actually pretty impressed that since they opened Monday I've had at least four family members I know of go there and several of my best friends co-workers that went just because I had tagged her in the post and they saw it. They all came back to us and said that we were right it was wonderful food! So it's not just my opinion I have the feedback of several other people that agree Cheddar's food is something you should definitely check out if you've never been there. I'm not sure how many locations they currently have but I know they have multiple locations in several states.

We are actually hoping to make it back in to eat soon as a family so my husband and kids can also have the pleasure of trying their food. Plus when I went they didn't have dessert yet so of course I have to go back so I can try the big chocolate chip cookie with ice cream our waitress was telling us all about.
