Stress Less with coloring books for adults!
There has been a lot of buzz about coloring books for adults lately. I actually saw several at our local bookstore on my last visit. I had been actually thinking about picking one up so I could color with my daughter. I like to color, but I'm not really into fairies and princesses. So when I was given the opportunity to check some out for myself I was pretty excited.
The American Lung Association recommends coloring as one of 52 stress reducers, and the practice can be done communally—with children, parents, friends, or even complete strangers in a group setting.
Since receiving my books I've finished one page and have started a few others. It really has been quite relaxing. I like that the books give you so many great pictures to choose from and complete freedom on how to color them. The pattern books can be colored however you like because it's just plain patters and no actual animals or other things you would feel like you needed to use certain colors for. This really appeals to me the most. I can just color however I like and not feel like I made a mistake. Ahhh relaxing freedom.
