New Learning Apps from Kids Academy

If you have younger age children you might want to check out Kids Academy on iTunes. They have some new apps that feature activities for preschool and kindergarten, and they are FREE!

This app from Kids Academy is probably one of my favorites. Not only do kids get to trace letters to learn them, but they also get to collect fireflies along the path and then they are deposited into their jar. The jar then fills up as they progress through the alphabet, a perfect way to keep kids motivated to not give up and keep trying if they have trouble with a letter. It also has the option of creating multiple profiles if you have more than one child using the app, and you can even track their progress along the way to see just how well they are doing. I like this option because you can let them play independently, then check how they did later.

Another app from Kids Academy that's a must if you have a preschool age (or even below) children is all about learning. From the graphics and sounds to the fun and interactive learning activities they will definitely stay engaged while learning the basics they will need to know for school.

This app is also great for early learners. It teaches them letter recognition as well as the sounds of the letters and examples of words they appear in. I like that it's so easy to navigate that children can open the app on their own and pretty much just do it all with out any help. It keeps them entertained, but also teaches them useful information instead of just wasting their time.
